Assembling the Shirt
- Take the three pieces that make the shirt, and pin right sides together. (Fig. 16)
- Stitch up the sides, but NOT the armhole.
- Hem the neck and base. (Fig. 17)

Assembling the Sleeves
This section is where you are going to find the most deviation from standard pattern making. Because the hands on Muppet WhatNots do not bend easily, if you want a tighter sleeve, you need to leave the sleeve open on the bottom, and snap it closed.
- Hem the two sides. (Fig. 18)
- Pin the sleeve so that the hems are on the inside.
- Insert the sleeve through the arm hole as seen in the diagram. (Fig. 19)
- Pin the sleeve in place and sew. (Fig 20)
- Put the sleeve on your Muppet.
- Figure out where you want the sleeve to have it’s hem and mark it.
- Hem the sleeve.

Finishing the Shirt
- Hem the two back pieces.
- Mark where they overlap in the back with pins. (Fig. 21)
- Attach snaps to the backs.
